Now that there’s two of them and Mr. Man is only approaching size 12 months, I am constantly ordering one thing or another, or running over to Target to hunt for a pair of fleece pajamas, which is impossible by the way seeing as January 1st is apparently spring in the eyes of the retail giants. Silly me, not purchasing all my winter pajamas in the fall.
Little Miss needs leggings in the next size up since hers look like capris. Mr. Man got a ton of great long sleeve shirts for Christmas, but all of his solid white onsies I put underneath are getting scraggly and need to be replaced. Little Miss was in need of new socks, which Santa (or Mrs. Claus? Or Mom.) put in her stocking. And while I am buying onsies, I threw in some long sleeve ones to go under all the 12 month t-shirts Mr. Man is now big enough to wear.
Oh and his nine month jackets? Those probably won’t fit too much longer so I grabbed a clearance fuzzy thing from the Carter’s store yesterday. And why aren’t Little Miss’s 3T t-shirts fitting over her head anymore? Grabbed a couple 4T shirts from Kohls.com this morning.
Meanwhile, I am wearing clothes from a million years ago that still fit (hello high school gym sweatpants, with the ankles long ago cut off!). What must it be like to go through clothes so quickly? The only thing I remember about my childhood wardrobe was the frustration of never fitting in my jeans long enough to wear holes in the knees. I have since made up for that with many a pair of expensive “distressed” pants where all the work has been done for me.
But anyway, after last nights pajama run and today’s online shopping, I think we are ok. Everyone has clothes on their backs, but next week I’m sure one of these kids will grow like a weed and it will be time to whip out that plastic. Happy shopping!
